Music from St. John’s College, Cambridge

[Arms of St. John’s College, Cambridge] — If you missed the annual broadcast of the Festival of Lessons and Carols from King’s College, Cambridge—or if you just haven’t gotten your fill of residential college choirs yet—you may be pleased to hear that there is now some choral music available for direct downloading from King’s neighbor, St. John’s College.

You can now listen online to a St. John’s College chapel service featuring a performance of Duruflé’s Requiem, recorded this past November 12th. The college is considering making more such recordings available online, and I very much hope they will.

Many thanks to Collegiate Way member John Devlin of the Cambridge Society of Nova Scotia for pointing me to this material.
