Residential Colleges of the University of Durham

The University of Durham, established early in the nineteenth century, is the third great collegiate university in Britain. Durham now has fifteen residential colleges: thirteen in Durham city and two on the University’s Queen’s Campus in Stockton-on-Tees. A sixteenth Durham city college is now under construction. These informal photos of several of the Durham colleges were taken by Robert J. O’Hara during a speaking visit to Durham. For more information about the Durham colleges pay a visit to the University of Durham website. For more information about residential colleges in general please visit the main Collegiate Way page.
