1 June 2004 (collegiateway.org) — The New Straits Times reports today that Universiti Teknologi MARA in Selangor, Malaysia, “is being besieged by monkeys, whose destructive antics are costing more than peanuts and driving administrators bananas.â€
The university’s business school here was recently left with several broken computers and a damaged ceiling after an invasion by rampaging monkeys.
Associate Professor Dr Azizul Halim Yahya, the university’s assistant vice chancellor for Corporate Communications & International Relations, said the business school, residential colleges and the new Communications faculty building were among the many sites of monkey activity.
