The incoming president of Duke, Richard Brodhead, has served for many years as Dean of Yale College, where he has had oversight of Yale’s residential colleges. Given the history of Duke University, where prominent faculty members such as Reynolds Price and William Willimon have proposed a collegiate system in the past, will residential colleges for Duke be part of President Brodhead’s legacy?
