Collegiate Tip-of-the-Month: Adopt a College Cat

— Are your students listless and depressed? Your faculty disaffected? Is enrollment dropping and are alumni contributions falling off? Are your buildings in disrepair and your bureaucracy oppressive? Do you have a parking problem?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you could of course hire a consulting firm to study your situation. You could also apply for a major grant. Perhaps an Institutional Planning Council could be established to draft a new Vision Statement.

Alternatively, you could adopt a college cat.
