GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

- Congratulations to the Officers of the College Council! -

The first meeting of the Strong College Council was held last Tuesday
evening, and the following officers were elected: Gina Hutchens,
President (Room 111, x1186); Quita Parker, Vice-President (Room 315,
x1983); Sherrill Hayes, Treasurer (Room 211, x2375); Pamela Wilson,
Secretary (Room 370, x2786); and Rocetia Robinson, Residence Halls

the primary student organizing group in Strong College, and it plans
events and activities of all kinds. If you want to get more involved in
the life of Strong College, the College Council wants your help! They
meet every Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. in the Committee Room — join them!
And congratulations to all!

- Five by O. Henry -

Dr. White is in a play! Five by O. Henry will be playing at the
Greensboro Historical Museum on Saturday, September 17th. A van will
leave from the front of the Foust Building at 2:00 p.m., and the first
ten people to sign up will receive FREE TICKETS. Dr. White is in the
play (for at least one minute); her last appearance on stage was when
she was in the sixth grade and played a peasant. If you would like to
go please call Dr. White at x1888, or slip a note under her door (Room
140) saying that you would like to attend.

- President’s Tea -

All members of Strong College are invited every week to the President’s
Tea, which takes place Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. in the Junior Common
Room. This informal social hour is the perfect time and place to meet
some of your neighbors and to make new friends. Be there! (That means
you.)
