Strong College Visits Guilford Courthouse Battle Reenactment, March 1998

A hearty company of Strong College members attended the annual reenactment of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, a major battle of the American Revolution, at Guilford Courthouse National Military Park in Greensboro in 15 March 1998. In the real battle the British forces under Lord Cornwallis defeated General Nathanael Greene’s army, but their victory was a Pyrrhic one. At this reenactment, however, all parties had a grand time. Photos are by Strong College Senior Tutor Dr. Robert O’Hara.
